about

I would like to share with you these songs that I love. I have recorded them in memory of our mother, Maureen Keane, who passed away in St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown in 2019. This collection of eight songs is called ‘Whispering Hope’, one of our mother’s treasured party pieces. You will also come across a variety of songs that celebrate the beauty and the passing nature of our lives and the love, friendships and fun we enjoy along the way. After donating, you will receive a thank you email containing a link to the entirety of my album. To get a brief glimpse into these recordings, follow me in Wishing Upon a Star. Why Donate The Irish Hospice Foundation provides support for people in their final days. Covid-19 reminded us of how important these institutions are. The love and compassion we, as a family, experienced during our mother’s care in the hospice will remain with us always. I hope you enjoy these songs and that you will feel inspired to contribute to the Irish Hospice Foundation so that others may spend their final days surrounded by the same care and compassion as our mother experienced. Every cent raised from the sale of this album will go towards that aim.

Heartfelt Thanks I want to particularly recognise Ruth Smith and Fergal Scahill who encouraged me to undertake this project in the first place. We recorded the songs in their studio in East Clare in January 2020 not knowing that a lockdown was fast approaching. Without their musical and technical talents, so graciously given, this compilation would never have happened. Much appreciation also to Ryan Molloy for his magical accompaniment to ‘When you wish upon a star’ and to Ruth Mc Gill for her beautiful and wistful harmonies on ‘Dragonflies’.
